수출신고 금액이 틀린 채 출항할 뻔했습니다
The cargo almost sailed with the wrong value
화주가 목요일 밤에 보낸 수정 invoice가 읽지 않은 메일 214통 사이에 묻혔습니다. 수출신고는 이미 옛 금액으로 나간 뒤였고, 출항까지 여섯 시간 남아 있었습니다. 같은 일을 자동화가 실제 데스크 화면에서 처리하는 모습입니다.
An amended invoice came in Thursday night and got buried under 214 unread emails. Six hours before departure, the export filing still showed the old value. Here is the same job, done by the automation on a real desk’s screens.

수정 invoice 는 제목만 봐서는 알 수 없는 메일에 붙어 있었습니다. 그대로 출항하면 미국 수출신고(EEI) 금액이 실제 invoice 보다 USD 13,000 적은 채로 남습니다. 틀린 신고는 미국 수출 규정(FTR) 위반이라 나중에 CBP 점검에서 드러나면 벌금 대상이 됩니다. 출항 전에 고치면 정정 한 번으로 끝납니다.
The amended invoice was attached to an email whose subject said nothing. Sailing like that leaves the export filing (EEI) USD 13,000 below the real invoice. An inaccurate filing breaks the Foreign Trade Regulations and can draw a penalty if CBP finds it later. Caught before departure, it is one amendment.
